The Rumford Fire Department provides a Municipal fire alarm system consisting of 74  fire alarm boxes including master and street. We are also connected to the New Page paper mills fire alarm system, they have 24 boxes. The system is divided into 4 circuits and rings directly to Central Station, it also rings over Rumford Fire radio frequency to alert the Firefighters if they are out of the station.
